Universitat Politecninca de Valencia
The Universitat Politècnica de València is a Spanish university located in Valencia, with a focus on science and technology. It was founded in 1968 as the Higher Polytechnic School of Valencia and became a university in 1971, but some of its schools are more than 100 years old. The UPV offers undergraduate degrees, dual degrees, masters and doctorate programs. It encourages new learning formats and brings the real world close to the classroom. It has also partnerships with institutions in 50 different countries.
The UPV has twice received the International Campus of Excellence award from the Spanish Ministry of Innovation. More than 1600 scientists research at its Polytechnic City of Innovation, surrounded by cutting-edge technological equipment. UPV is the only technological university in Spain to feature in all the world university rankings. It is also the national leader in patent exploitation.
